ECONOMY-TIP: W-LAN routers (with/without modem) by Netgear, Trendnet,U.S. Robotics and Zyxel require only 2 Watts of electricity when there is no data flow through them. Dray Tek, on the other hand, has not internalized conservation of energy. Even DECT telephones can devour power at times. The power supply unit of the charging tray alone uses up to 5 Watts. Base stations with integrated charging trays require even more energy.
